The UK’s largest independent cider producer, Aston Manor Cider, is proud to announce a partnership with Tough Mudder, the organisation that enables thousands of teams to complete challenging obstacle courses across the UK.
The partnership means Aston Manor’s flagship cider, Kingstone Press, is now the Official Finishers’ Cider for the Tough Mudder UK obstacle events in 2015.
Celebrating those who demonstrate physical strength and mental grit by completing the tough course, a refreshing serve of Kingstone Press will be the reward for those who finish.
The UK events in 2015, which put teamwork and camaraderie at the heart of its focus, started in Henley-on Thames over the 2nd and 3rd May. Over 17,000 participants took on the challenge on the first weekend and had the added incentive of a refreshing Kingstone Press on completion of the course. A further seven events are planned around the UK throughout the rest of the year.
On teaming up with Tough Mudder, Justin Way, Kingstone Press marketing controller said: “As the Official Cider and finisher drink of Tough Mudder, we’re proud to be delivering proper refreshment when it’s needed to over 100,000 participants in this year’s UK series of events.
“After battling through more than ten miles of the incredibly tough obstacle challenge, we’ll be on hand to reward proper graft, teamwork and sheer determination the best way we know how, with Kingstone Press delivering total cider refreshment.”
Also commenting on the new partnership, Sarah Harvey, Senior Vice President, Tough Mudder International, said: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with Aston Manor Cider and Kingstone Press. We can think of no better reward for those who cross the finishing line than a refreshing drink of Kingstone Press.”
Aston Manor Cider is making a record investment in Kingstone Press this year creating a platform for greater national awareness and consumer engagement through brand sponsorships and activation.
The award-winning cider is in its third year as a major partner of the Rugby Football League (RFL). As the Official Cider of Rugby League, the brand benefits from the growing national exposure of the sport with over 24 million fans who regularly attend matches or watch on TV.
A crisp and refreshing cider, Kingstone Press is available in three flavour variants; Classic Apple, Wild Berry and Pear, and in a variety of packaging formats including glass bottle, small PET and can. All flavour variants are also available on draught.
