Aston Manor Cider’s Kingstone Press is a proud sponsor of the Rhodes Extreme Challenge Walk, taking place on Saturday 4 August 2018.

The challenge will see Ben Moorhouse and Gaynor Thompson attempt to become the first people to walk the entire circumference of the Greek island of Rhodes in under 48 hours, which is a gruelling 150 miles in extreme heat and humidity.

All the proceeds from the event will support The Steve Prescott Foundation, which was set up in 2007 following rugby league player Steve Prescott’s diagnosis with a rare type of cancer. The aim of the charity is to raise funds for the Christie Hospital, a leading cancer treatment centre in Europe, and Try Assist, the Rugby Football League's benevolent fund.

Glen Friel, Sales and Marketing Director, at Aston Manor Cider, said: “We’re incredibly proud to support the challenge that Ben and Gaynor are undertaking this summer. It’s going to be very tough, but their dedication is inspiring. What’s more, it’s all in support of a worthwhile cause.”

“Kingstone Press has had a longstanding relationship with rugby league in the UK. Steve Prescott has had a huge impact on the sport, not only from his playing days, but also in his memory through the foundation. His legacy continues through events like the Rhodes Extreme Challenge Walk 2018 and the money raised will help many people that truly need it.”
