At the end of June we were delighted to be involved in Birmingham’s first offline social media food event.
Hosted at Hotel La Tour, over 400 people descended on the venue to get their taste buds round some of the city’s most exciting food and drink.
We’re pleased to report that Birmingham is a city of cider lovers! Kingstone Press Pear went down especially well with most of the ladies at the event while Malvern Gold hit a note with those more accustomed to a traditional cider.
A lot of people were pleasantly surprised at our suggestion to use cider as an ingredient or pairing it with food for example Malvern Gold makes a perfect accompaniment to a cheese board.
Cider can be used as an imaginative ingredient in many different recipes, Miss Macaroon who had a stunning array of the sweet treats at the event is experimenting with our cider to make some limited edition Cider Macaroons.
We’ll be taking some of these ideas and look at working them into our Brummie Cider Recipe eBook later this year.
