We're looking for a Transport Compliance Manager to join Aston Manor and play a key role in ensuring the continued compliance, safety and operational effectiveness of our Transport Department.

Reporting to the Head of Logistics and working closely with the Transport Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining compliance across all transport activities, including our garage operation, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and Operator Licence obligations. You'll help create a safe and supportive environment for colleagues while driving high standards of service delivery, operational performance and continuous improvement.

As a subject matter expert, you'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external authorities to ensure compliance is embedded throughout transport operations. You'll oversee areas including driver compliance, vehicle maintenance programmes, licence and tachograph management, training coordination, compliance auditing, KPI reporting and accident management. You'll also support investigations, provide guidance on transport compliance matters and deputise for the Transport Operations Manager when required.

About You

You'll be a detail-focused and proactive transport professional with a strong understanding of transport legislation, compliance standards and operational best practice.

You'll bring:

• Previous experience in a Transport Team Leader, supervisory or management role within a transport environment.
• Strong knowledge of drivers' hours regulations, tachograph compliance and Operator Licence requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce meaningful reports and identify improvement opportunities.
• The confidence to challenge non-compliant practices and drive corrective actions.
• SAP knowledge would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A Transport Manager CPC qualification would be desirable.
• A management qualification (ILM or equivalent) would be advantageous.
